australian plasma cnc builders i need your advice

hi there is there any aussies that have had success at building a hobby cnc plasma for home use i would like your advice as im new to cnc but have a fair bit off fabrication exp.
i would like to make the table 1500x1500 with a slide out support system to hold a full sheet if needed most of the time would not need a full sheet as it would be cut down to fit.
your thoughts on this please
thinking of going with rack and pinion and am looking at the everlast POWERPLASMA 62i any help would be greatly APPRECIATED
