Well, you still had six tool slots to go :)
Any of the tooling out of the ordinary?
Never mind Craig, I can see the 18 in the holders.
only one out of the ordinary. it would be the id groover I used to o-ring the inside of the bores for the cylinder liners. I changed the design a little to accept viton orings to seal the cylinder liners to the water jackets.
Looks like you are going to finish before me!!
lolol not even close. got a long way to go. working on a fixture for the intake right now. besides yours is all but running. in fact you're so close to having yours running I dont think I would be able to sleep til it did. I'd be saying screw the tank and radiator etc I just wanna hear it run. even for only a couple seconds.
finally got the cylinder sleeves made. they are cast iron.

here they are installed. had to re-machine the oring grooves. turns out the viton orings do not compress as much as buna orings.

And I suppose that is the blower housing all completed off to the right in the last pic :(
Never mind, should have known.
no its not completed yet. I have an Iscar boring system. that goes by the name ITS BORE. I ordered the extension for it so I can do the rotor bores in the housing. the ones that came with it won't quite go all the way through it. I would have been ok had I not scaled it up. so until it arrives I cannot complete it. hopefully it will arrive this afternoon. I could use other methods but once you use the Iscar boring system you never want to use anything else. its an actual tenths setting boring head which is deadly accurate. pricey though, as you would expect. if I hadn't run out of wire I could have done it on the wire EDM.
I was not looking forward to the housing after seeing Steve's post about the 7 hour run time on the surfacing of the ribs. mine took about 1.5 hours though. not bad. but still a long time for such a small part.
The ITS BORE is an interesting tool, tried looking into it further but my internet connection is very slow today.
