Depends on the type of motor, the older ones were simple Universal motors, now BLDC are usually used.

I have the csm2000. I tried to get it to run, but it will only do a few rotation at a very low speed and then it stops up. I need to swich of and on the 0/1 button in order to have it to run again, but then the same thing happens.Quote:

How is it wired?
The motor must have the pedal or pot in the off position to "ARM"...this is the safety interlock system....
Then you can adjust the pedal/pot to desired speed..
