VFD Not Responding to PWM, Starts On?
So I just upgraded my Shapeoko to a Huanyang 110v 800w Spindle and a 110v Huanyang VFD
Have everything wired up, settings in, and it works great with manual control through the VFD. When I switch PD001 to 1 for PWM control I can't get it to respond correctly though.
Shapeoko PWM to VFD VI
Shapeoko PWM Ground to VFD ACM
VFD DCM jumped to VFD FOR
On powerup, the VFD starts the spindle and brings it to 400hz.
The VFD starts the spindle even if the shapeoko PWM is disconnected. But even so I verified a DMM reads that the Shapeoko PWM voltage is being modulated correctly based on spindle RPM in GRBL by Universal G-Code Sender, and reaches the VF. PD070 is set to 1 for 5v.
As you would expect, when the DCM and FOR are disconnected it stops.
Have searched Google, this forum, no luck. Any ideas?

Ah! Think I solved it.
So the biggest problem was there was a jumper on the board connecting VF instead of VI that needed to be moved.
Then I needed to set PD073 to 0 (instead of 120 as I have read elsewhere) or it would come on with VFD power at 120hz.
Then I needed to set PD011 to 0 (instead of 120 as I have read elsewhere) or it would not shut of with M5, only go down to 120hz.
Are those settings safe? Is there a way to have the VFD only activate with a VI that gives at least 120, without it automatically starting or not shutting off?

I have the same issue. My jumper has been moved but the parameters are at 120.
Did this work for you. Any long term use issues?

PD073=100 minimum setting
PD011=100 minimum setting
This is the minimum speed your spindle can run at and you have to have these set or you will damage the spindle
You have a wiring problem, you can not jumper, FOR and DCM there has to be a switch / Relay to turn this connection On / Off
