KeyCreator 8

I'm trying to learn KC8. I have a question about generating solids. The quick start tutorial says To Create a Block "Click Create>Primitive Solid>Block."
I don't see Primitive Solid>Block from the Create Menu bar. When I right -click in the status bar and display the Create menu bar from there I see "Create Primitives(shift+p), Create Swept Solids(shift+e), etc, but the buttons are greyed out. What is wrong?

sounds like you don't have a drawing template (blank drawing) open.
Is the drawing area on your screen grey? If so then open a blank drawing or template.
