What is best for the laser tube
Is it better to do this
"As a general rule, when cutting use full power and adjust speed from slower to faster to find fastest cut speed"
or
use 30% power and a slower speed rate.
I ask this as this is what I do. (Less power and a slow feed rate)
Generally, I do not stand there and wait for the laser to finish cutting. I am busy doing other things so the time is not so important to me.
but is the time or the power the thing, that can save the laser tube ??
I also note that this is with the water temperate at less then 30C degrees.. Once over 30C degrees, I boost up to 40%
This is on a 60 watt machine cutting 3mm plywood

Re: What is best for the laser tube
Just treat machine same as your car.
Do not drive full speed for it`s health. Also do not drive like your Grandma.
But do not work with 30C degrees or more. 25C is max. Higher temp.means lower power and life.
Re: What is best for the laser tube
Hi.
I own a 80w Reci tube. Never works over 80%, never works over 33°C. Working for 5 years now, 5 days a week in Seville, Spain. In summer we have days with 40°C
