DMU 80T - manual tool change (horizontal spindle)
Hello!
I have DMU80T / Heidenhain 430 / with integrated rotary table, manual adjustable head and automatic tool changer.
Sometimes we change the tool manually when it's too long.
I've met a problem with manual tool change with head rotated (for example to horizontal position).
Each time machine tells me that I can't change the tool because it's not in vertical position to reach tool magazine.
But when I want to change the tool manually it doesn't matter if it's horizontal...
Anyway the only solution I found is to put head back into vertical position, then change the tool manually, then put it back to horizontal position... it takes a great time to do it sometimes...
Generally working on horizontal spindle is annoying because of this problem.
Anyone have the same problem, and any horizontal-fast-toolchange solution?
