Just replaced spindle belt on vm25. Now I am trying to reset orientation for tool changer. Haas has paramater 257 but Im stumped on milltronics 9000 control. Thanks

..try fixing the issue mechanically, which caused the problem ---- see what happens with Belt OFF the pulleys then... MDI M19?Quote:

The orientation position on older machines needed to be adjusted in the spindle drive itself and not in the control side. Not sure if this still holds true for the newer machines. You should be able to do what machinehop5 suggested and command a spindle orientation in MDI, then rough in the alignment by indexing mechanically. The PITA way is to MDI portions of a tool change (TC position, orient spindle, DB open, arm in), then jog the head up and down to check the alignment without crashing or flying toolholders in the machine.
