Subscription Services

Hi readers,

I would like to know everyone's feelings about subscription services. This seems to be a new trend now-a-days. The old days of owning software seems to be coming to an end. It is not only CAD/CAM software doing this either--good old Microsoft is also a culprit. I would think the majority of the people would rather have something tangible for their hard earned money. I know EZ-CAM is not a subscription service, but what are the pros and cons here?
