Can anyone confirm if it is possible to resume a dripfeed mid-program on a Fanuc-15M on an Hitachi Seiki, using CIMCO DNC.
We can do it by inserting block skip..but that has proven to be dangerous if some lines are accidentally skipped.
Would appreciate some insight here.

The only way I have been able to do this, is by going back into my CAM software to make a new program that bypasses the areas that have already been cut.
I have tried a mid-program start up before which has not turned out too well.

Really there would be no issue if Fanuc memory was a little larger :(

I find this funny since most machines are purchased with "standard" or minimum memory. No one wants to pay for more memory and then they complain about the results later.

Personaly I agree with you, but still when modern mobile phones have more storage capacity you have to wonder!
