Okuma Crown l1060 osp700Ll ready status time out error
Hello,
I apologize for my lack of CNC knowledge as I am a new Engineer with no experience with CNC. My Company has a Okuma crown l1060 lathe with a OSP700l controller that we are having issues sending programs to the lathe from a computer. When the lathe is trying to receive the program, it eventually times out with "321 rs232c ready status time out error". We have made sure the program name matches the $fiename.min% format. From what I have been told they have rarely been able to get programs to send to this lathe. The last time they were able to get a program to send and receive from a computer was by chance. I was told that the program was just loaded into the lathe the following day after shutting the lathe power off. We have tried to replicate this with no success.
Thank you for any help you are able to offer

Try ...
PIP READ ,A.MIN WRITE
The command may need a rename format where a comma means... bring in the program & rename it to A.MIN
Also, try sending a file with the $filename.min deleted.... leave the %

If you are having troubles with that control it is usually in cabling but sometimes settings.
I normally go 9600,7,even,2 and use software handshaking. That way only 3 wires are needed. Ground, transmit and receive.
Everything you always wanted to know and more is in the attached document.
Mike did a great job on it.
Best regards,
