fusion 360 post processor
Hi all,
Perhaps a dumb question, but...
I watched a NYCCNC video today in which John used the 4th axis using fusion 360 on the PCNC 1100. He posted a link to download a post processor for fusion which was titled:
a_axis_tormach.cps
So my question really is, when someone creates a post processor like this, would it be just for the 4th axis operations, so I would need to post those operations separately, or would it include all the normal 3 axis operations in the post as well? The file size is 54KB, if that helps.
Thanks
Terry
Re: fusion 360 post processor
The post processor is a single file. Just make sure it supports everything you need (ATC if you have one in particular).
Re: fusion 360 post processor
I understand that, but you can have multiple files in the folder, and when you go to the post tab in fusion you could post only certain operations, not necessarily everything you have created tool paths for, you could, at least in theory, use a different post processor for different operations.
So I guess my question is if someone creates a post processor for something specific, such as 4th axis, would they, as a matter of routine, include all the normal operations of the basic post processor's?
Sorry if I'm not expressing this well, perhaps i should just try the post and see what happens! Lol
