Pretty cool, a thought crossed my mind about this a while back. Fusion 360's new rotary tool path for use on 4th axis. Basically can be applied to any complex 3d shape. Does a spiral cut around the shape with a ball endmill. Constant turning of A axis as it controls z up and down and slowly moving back in x for stepover. Swap out the ball endmill for a turning tool like you have here and the toolpath basically works as is depending how machine is setup. Maybe slight post edit to apply cide yo the correc axis' or just mod code in notepad. Obviously need a c axis if doing on lathe. I'd really like to see it happen on a lightning fast machine that can really throw the tool back and forth quickly.
