Need help with the fanuc Prog. Restart

Curious as to how to use the program restart option on my fanuc controller. I've now advanced my knowledge to where i'm running longer programs and experimenting with the limits of my tools and when a tool breaks mid-program it kills quite a bit of time to reach my restart point. Does the program restart option bring me back to where my tool broke and pick up all of my offsets and commands?

I have a customer who sets Macro variables #500 and up with each tool that completes. When they complete it will simply jump past those tool calls and end up to the first tool that didn't complete. I believe he resets them all back to 0's at the very end of his program.
