I was wondering if anyone had come across the following error code on a Pratix 48
PlC17- Head 2 not in position
If you have seen this do you recommend any things to check.
The drill head goes into position and then this code appears and the machine freezes up.

I have to SCM CNC and have encountered this error many times.
Which head was it? Drilling or Routing?
Is it in the calibration or running a program?
From my experience:
Check if the sensor of the position of the head are triggered the head may be in the correct position but if the software doesn't receive the signal of the down position it wont go forward.
If you move the head from the up/down position in rapid succession you should see and led in the plc changed from the on and off. If you dont see that's because the sensor has move position and needs to be readjusted.
