below the link to my brand new video showing the highlights of the fibre concrete CNC built. I thought long about what materials best to use with the tools that I had at hand. I decided to experiment with fibre concrete. I am quite satisfied with the result. Enjoy the video!

Very nice build :) Any plans of replacing wood parts with aluminium ?

I like your tub design! Would be perfect for flood cooling - is it sealed? Are you happy with your automatic toolchange spindle? I already had an eye on that one...

it's set up for flood cooling for sure :)
And yes, i am quite happy with the spindle, it's 3kw 4 poled so it has allot more torque than regular spindles.
I have tried steel aswell, and that wasnt any problem at all :)
As you can see, it can manage quite good cuts, that was 12600 rpm, 2700 mm/min, 10mm deep and 3.5mm width of cut, and it still didnt struggle.
I have not built enclosure yet, but using some curtains for shower at the momemt, and it works quite good :)

I have seen many people using UHPC for making precision CNCs, how much better is UHPC over epoxy granite? Everyone seems to state EG is better for accuracy in the long run.
I think I would need to use a rack and pinion rather than ballscrews.
Rack and pinion quality nowadays is just on par with ballscrews, many commercial large CNC routers today uses rack and pinion.
