Can't get camera to show in TNG under Linux/Ubuntu
Hello.
I have been using my CNC router for a while without any issues.
Now I wanted to add a USB camera that used to work with USB CNC under windows in the past.
The USB camera works with Ubuntu built in Cheese app but when I try to locate anything related to camera in TNG, it is not there.
I am using the newest TNG V2 but I also tried the previous version that is still installed in Ubuntu and the same behavior.
I also tried another (different and cheap) USB webcam with the same result.:(
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Unfortunately camera does not work in Linux. Doing this on Linux is tricky due to different distributions. However this is on TODO list.
Re: Can't get camera to show in TNG under Linux/Ubuntu
Thank you for the answer. I was just about to install the TNG V2 on raspberry Pi 4 with Debian on it to see if camera would show up.
Just to be clear, the CAMERA does not work on any Linux based distribution as of now?
I was just saving money for the wireless MPG and now I have to buy a copy of Windows
:( :violin:
Re: Can't get camera to show in TNG under Linux/Ubuntu
You can use any camera viewer. Yes, one build in TNG is fancy but you can get most functionalities from external camera viewer. Until I learn how to implement camera in Linux.
TNG works great on RPi 4 and Raspbian. I do recommend good cooling because RPi 4 gets quite hot.
