Viper Lathe With Fanuc Controller

Bought a used Mighty Viper with an older Fanuc controller. (2007) Its an OT XXX or other. I have most of the parameters and settings dialed in. Probe arm works and I'm getting good geometry numbers. MDI, AUTO, Jogging etc is all there. I am wired and can save and bring in programs via RS232.
So what is the process for setting the "Work Shift" and the G54. Do you touch of the face of the part and make the measurement there, or do you have to manually type in a number from the DRO.
