Hello,
I'm having trouble turning (Cast heat resistance 25cr - 20ni stainless steel per idm - 8393.) This material has a high crome and nickel content. The problem I'm having is keeping consistency with the tight dimentions has anyone had any experience cutting this stuff? Any advice at all will be appreciated.

Try Mitsubishi inserts. VP10RT is the grade we used to cut Inconel. I would stay with inserts in the S group for heat resistant alloys.
We made a tight tolerance bushings on a ST10 and the finishing inserts lasted maybe 10 - 20 parts before they wore out. The roughing inserts lasted 5 - 10 parts, but Inconel has a much higher nickel content than what you're turning.
Thanks for the info. Did you run without coolant that was something that was suggested also I take it you had a low spindle speed.
