Do you have a switch on the control panel for OD/ID clamping? Do you have position sensors on the draw tube at the drive end of the spindle?
There is no switch.
The limit switch I would have to ask my maintenance guy because I'm not sure.
I remember that okuma lathes would turn on a led when chucking by ID and a different led when chucking by OD.
Mori does not have this option
If you have the positions sensors, you might have to remove one cover, but they should be clearly visible on the top of the draw tube assembly. They are put there to be adjustable by the set up machinist. They are there as a safety so that the chuck will not turn if it senses that there is no material there by moving to a different position that is out of range from what was set.

Yes, the prox switches need to be set correctly.
