Spindle spins 2 seconds and then stop
Hello,
I am facing an issue with my huanyang VFD and Spindle. When I try to control it with CNCJs the spindle turns 2 second and then stops. After that I have an error message that is something like that : " the spindle did not reach the speed, speed is 0 rpm". I have the XPROV5 as a controller and the VFD is connected with RS485. The spindle spun correctly with the VFD disconnected to the pc (PD01 : 0 and PD02 : 0).
Does anyone can help me ?

It does not mention anything about RS485 in the video, so not sure how the control is working with RS485 connection, as that would also need to be setup, if you have set Mach3 the same as the video, then you should contact your control supplier
Some Parameters are questionable for this spindle, what are your motor specs, they also should not be reversed so that part should not be set
Is, your spindle air cooled??

In the end the guy explain how to control the spindle with an RS485 USB adapter connected directly to the PC.
My spindle is a 2.2kw water cooled 400hz.

I did not watch it all the way through but have now and if you have all the settings correct for the RS485 then it should work for you like he is showing in the VFD Drive, so check the Mach3 settings
Is your spindle 220v ?? if so you can use the Parameters below
On the first setup he showed these Parameters he set incorrect there are some others that can be changed also this is a good starting point.
PD011=100 for your spindle 120 is safe
PD073=100 for your spindle 120 is safe to use for cutting

Where you able to get it running with Mach3 with the first setup as in the video before going to the RS485

Yes my spindle is 220V. I will try to put those new parameters. Thank you !
And no I didn't try to control it with Mach3. To do so I need to change a jumper right ? (RS485 to PWM)

There were a few steps he missed so not sure how he was controlling it, he would of had to of had a PWM to analog 0-10v output from the control that would of been connected to VI and ACM for speed control, and yes J1 jumper needs to be changed.
For manual Keypad control with Pot you need these settings
Pot Control
PD001=0
PD002=1
PD070=1
JI Jumper 2-3 Postion
You should go back and run it like he did from Mach3 then switch to the RS485
Do you have a list of what Parameters you set??

All I had to do is to turn off the hard limits on cncjs with $limits/hard=off

Thank you for your advise ! Why should I put the pd03 to 400 ? My spindle can spin from 8000 rpm to 24000 rpm, that is why I putted 133,33 hz for pd11.

You put 133.33 because the guy in the video said too,
Your spindle is rated for 6,000RPM if you are happy at 8,000RPM than that is fine
PD003=400 is the main frequency and your spindle max frequency which should have been part of the first set Parameters in the video check the video he shows how to set these Parameters
