Haas G71/G72 cycle question. Finish allowance finsl pass

HAAS ST-30. I use the G71/G72 cycles extensively but can't figure out how to stop the cycle from taking basically a finish smoothing(?) cut with finish allowance after roughing the form. In my older CNC lathes I can set a parameter to stop this. They rough and leave any steps in without taking a complete extra rough pass. I do long face and OD roughing with no grooves, dips or shapes other than progressive moves in the one direction such as an OD with a couple progressively larger steps. The extra time the machine takes to do a complete finish pass with whatever U and W finish allowances still in the cycle drives me batty.
It's aluminum fer gawds sake, the G70 pass does just fine.
