Mitsubishi DWC 90 G
I broke the wire on a cut. Now when I return just short of the cut location using "PLOT" and continue with machining it will advance and hit the work and bounce off and continue to do so until I shut it off. It isn't a gentle bounce but a rather aggressive one. I've changed many of my parameters with no satisfaction. Anyone have an answer? What does the letter after the DWC 90 stand for?

Yep they all do this. Did you run out of wire that caused the wire break?
We get round this by manually moving away from the break point and machining in auto return mode.

Thanks. The wire broke because of "I don't know why" reasons. Plenty of wire on the spool However being relative new on this machine can you explain how I proceed as you suggested. The guy I had teaching me this machine is really sick and hasn't been in for over a week . I am dying in here!

You'll have to excuse that I'm coming from CX machines though I think they are similar enough.
upon (what we call) machine bouncing: Make sure AUTO RETURN is on
press stop
press start - this allows machine to move back to last X/Y position of bounce
press manual auto
press wire feed
manually jog machine until CONTACT light goes out
press manual auto
press fluid
press wire - wait a second or 2
press machining
make sure adaptive control is on
press start
Machine will return under machine conditions to where the problem first started.
once "return finished" is display - start machine as normal

Bounce back
Hello Royster
I had tried to get out of the bounce with your suggestion weather I followed your method exactly or not, we aren't talking exact controls it didn't work. However today when it happened I was successful with plotting to just short of the contact point reducing my E-pack settings to that of a first skim and reduced the feed rate (FA) to .050. That worked. I hope this helps someone I realize that this is an old machine and not many out there still working.
