R14 or replacement for windows xp——HELP NEEDED!!!
I built a cnc mill/engraver years ago. I set it up to run with a FET-4 controll board, from stepperword. I run K-Cam for software. I draw the files with Autocad R14 running on windows xp. The FET-4 works off of the printerport. I recently retired and have time to play, BUT a mouse built a nest in my computer and ruined it. I have another computer and loaded K-Cam up but I can not find my autocad cd or a suitable replacement. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'll second the Draftsight. When I was a working stiff, had to use acad. I find draftsight as an easy (and might add FREE) alternative. I save my files as Rel14 dxf and have no problems with my cam software (Sheetcad)

Good idea and if the old drive is not compatible with your new system, highly likely. You can buy a IDE or whatever it is adapter and run off a USB port, slow but at least you could get your old files off. Draftsight is very, very close to ACAD and it reads the files. I do not like either but it works.
