E-Stop & Home/Limits not working

What I have:
C10 BOB
NC E-Stop connected to INPUT #10 terminal and the 5V terminal next to it.
Home/Limit Switches (OMRON) wired NC in series connected to INPUT #13 terminal and the 5V terminal next to it.

After setting up in Ports/Pins and applying the settings I pressed the E-Stop while in the diagnostic to verify it was working and nothing happened tested the home/limit switches the same way and no response from hem as well.

I greatly appreciate your help and thank you for sharing your time and knowledge.

Do you have the pins as active HI or LOW?????
And do you have pullup or pull down resistors on the pins?

I am just guessing as to possible problems.

I do not know a lot about electronics but can follow instructions if well written or explained. So, when referring to the pins are you meaning the ones on the BOB or at the parallel port in the computer?

The pin numbers on the BOB usually reference the same pin on the parallel port. So that is not a problem and the pull up and down resistors are on the BOB.
I do not use that exact BOB, but most are configurable.

IF you have pullup resistors and have the other end of the switches tied to +5V, then nothing will happen. Usually the best way is pullUP resistors on the BOB and tie the other end of the switches to GND. That way, when they open OR you have a wire break, it will stop the system.
