Split G-Code
Is it possible to divide a nc file into two files for cutting? My machine maxes out at 99999 lines and I'm running quite a large cut that runs well over 99999 lines. Is it possible to somehow divide up the file so it does half and stops and then you can load the other half in to finish?
Preferably free or dirt cheap!
Many Thanks

Re: Split G-Code
Sorry should add it needs to handle nc rather than ngc files

Re: Split G-Code
Yes. Just break it after a Z up command, put an M30 there, And continue with next program.
You might need to restart spindle (S3) , as many controls turn it off at M30 (end of program)

Re: Split G-Code
built in windows notepad works very well..
wordpad leaves unwanted characters..
copy header into 2nd file... also the footer might has settings that you need to stick onto the first file end..
