cincinatti turret
Have cincinatti falcon lathe with siemens 2100 control.
The turret will not rotate in automatic mode. I can rotate manually, but when in program. or in mdi as soon as it reads the tool change it stops as if waiting for something. Is there a parameter? Or something im missing.? In my mind it isnt reading the turret at all so its waiting to know where turret location is before rotating, but it gives no alarm at all. just stops. any ideas?
thanx

Re: cincinatti turret
Can you fully run the machine in automatic with out a tool change?? If not, your axis following error may be to high (not in position) or the control may be in runoff mode. Look in the alarm history folder.

Re: cincinatti turret
Thank you mike. Yes , if i bypass the tool change the machine will run fine. Of course there are no offsets picked up. But what i did do was give the machine x,, and z locations enough offset that there would be no interference of anykind or overtravel. And then it would run the program completely to the end, Or at least to the end of the operation. When we check the history there is not alarm at all. Was cleared so we could try to trouble shoot current alarms only. There is one for message overflow, But during operation there is not alarm message on the machine..
thanks
