972 NMI error on a Fanuc 18-MC

Hi all,
As per title I have an 18-MC controller on a VMC.
The machine is shutting down with error - '972 NMI occurred in other module, slot 13'
I suspect the error is emanating from the dataserver, but I may be incorrect.
The status/alarm lights on the CPU indicate 'RAM parity alarm occurred in main CPU board or servo alarm occurred on option-2 board'
The status/alarm lights on the dataserver indicate 'Parity error of Ethernet RAM occurred'
CPU board number A02B-0228-B502
Dataserver board number A16B-2202-063
Is anybody able to shed some light on this issue?

you can remove the data server board and start without
The CNC should boot without data server
if it does,that means as you suspected that the dtat server board has problems

Thank you for the reply. I did not know I could boot up without the dataserver board. That is very helpful and will narrow down the areas that could be causing the problem.
