Which one will be better for parting/cutting metals?

I need to build a machine to cut/part metals. Options are:

1- Horizontal band saw machine
2- Horizontal hacksaw machine

I will cut all types of metals from aluminium to carbon metals. Up to 100mm height or diameter.

Both will be motorized of course. I can't decide which one to build.

What do you think?

Without question, a bandsaw would be the choice. Power hacksaws have all but disappeared for a reason, they are SLOOOOOWWWWWWW.
