For anyone running Mach3 on Windows 10, after installing the latest Windows 10 update (1803), Mach3 will no longert run.
It still works on version 1709, so disable updates before 1803 gets installed, or start looking for an alternative to Mach3.

My computer that runs Mach, has only ever seen the internet to download it originally.
I run Mach3 on a fast Windows 10 64 Bit computer using VMWare and Windows 7 32 Bit
The Windows 10 has Virus Protection, Internet Access, and is regularly updated.
The Virtual session of Windows 7 is locked down and runs perfectly and is unaffected by anything happening on the Windows 10 host as shown in this video
In the video I am running Mach3 and simultaneously running a BobCad Simulation for a 750,000+ lines of GCode

Is it the parallel port driver that no longer works, or is it mach with any motion device configuration? Does a sim config run?

Mach3 won't run at all. It stops after the splash screen.
Newfangled posted this on the Artsoft forum, and I updated Windows 10 to check, and sure enough, it stopped working.
Thanks , Gerry

I ran over to my machine to pause automatic updates to find out it has already been updated. Mach3 still works however for me at least. Machine is ran by a cheap old slate7 tablet with a buildyourcnc usb board. maybe that info will be useful for somebody
It also fails to run after a recent patch on Windows 7. I am about to order a new machine and won't be doing Mach again. Not that I had any problems with it as the combination of it and the Mach Standard mill screen set has been a good combo for me. I have had more issue with machine stalls on rapids than anything else. Something the new machine should largely cure being all linear ways. Once I have it I will under take the project of converting my little BF20 to linear ways and replace it's control with an Acorn/Centroid combo.
Can't even figure out how to prevent updates in Win10. I found a setting to delay the update by 365 days. Wondering if it would still work in compatability mode.
