Hello everyone i hope you are doing well, i am new here in this forum willing of learn about CNC machines, i have bought CNC machine and when i wanted to use it for first time i hade issue, which is that the Spindle motor is turning on when it is plugged in PC and wont stop with NC Studio software, i tried:
- restart the NC studio software
- restart the PC
- restart CNC machine
- uninstall and reinstall the NC studio
- uninstall and reinstall the NC studio V5 card driver
- limits switch on NC studio......
this some pictures for my CNC machine to have idea
Re: CNC router spindle motor turns on automatically when plugged in PC ?!
You apparently have no hard-wired E-stop circuit as required under the code, as well as just general good practice.
No machine motors or motor controllers should be energized until the E-stop is released and this is only allowed when the control S/W has loaded properly.

Need to see the computer and or Control side, this is normal when the VFD Drive has been wired incorrectly, or directly to the Control /Breakout Board
Re: CNC router spindle motor turns on automatically when plugged in PC ?!
If no proper and necessary hard wired E-stop is implemented, anything could happen.
Who wired up the original machine?
Obviously not to code!
Max.

...without a Wiring diagram from the MTB we would need close up Photos of all the interfacing wiring, terminals, junctions etc. My guess is someone has mickey moused the VFD wiring or possible Parameter Settings.

This has nothing to do with the Estop circuit, his spindle will still turn on when the E-stop is released, if not wired correctly between the VFD Drive and the Control Board it is missing a Relay in that circuit
