Current Jumping to Max on it's own. A Little Help Please!!

I've got one of the K40 Lasers and used it over the fall. Worked like a champ. Then I made a rookie mistake. Thought I drained the tube totally but apparently I didn't and it cracked the tube during the winter. I discovered the issue before firing it up again and I've now bought a new 40W tube on line.

Tube hooked up fine and I calibrated mirrors everything seemed to be great but after laser runs for 5-7 minutes the current indicator starts climbing on it's own and the laser power coming out drops to nothing. Checked Fan, 5v, current and all seem fine.
