..Close, but no cigar...
Machined aluminum for holding and steel for compressing pure lithium pellet targets (when you absolutely, positively gotta know the electron affinity of lithium!)..never together in one alloy.
Tried posting where the aerospace guys frequent? Someone who needs super light or cryo-strength in Al should have some experience.
