I have a Gerber Dimension 200 with a bad controller, I believe the motors and everything else are working. I was wondering if it is possible to replace the controller with some generic type and run this as a 3d machine (I would assume running g-code)? I know there is limited range on the z-axis but I don't think it would be an issue for me. I would primarily want to use this to cut aluminum lead molds. Any input/advice would be greatly appreciated as I am new to this stuff. Thank you.
If you're still looking for parts, I have a full working controller for a Dimension 200 that I no longer need.

i just bought an old Gerber dimension 200 engraver
i have the dongle but no softare
i know the machine is very old and not many people even use these old outdated machines anymore but hoping a previous owner has an old copy of the orig software maybe laying around in drawer of old tech junk
does anyone have a copy of the software graophix advantage or omega?
