Mitsubishi VMC with Fanuc Series 21M
Dear Sirs
Recently we have replaced X axis ballscrew with new one and since then we are finding hole size variation in the job (Tolerance is upto 30 microns). Backlash values are almost negligible for all three axes ie +/-1
We are doubting pitch of new ballscrew and may be there is difference of about few microns between old and new ballscrews, which we need to compensate
Kindly let us know how to give compensation for change in ballscrew pitch
Warm Regards
Re: Mitsubishi VMC with Fanuc Series 21M
Function Config / Screw Mapping
But also check whether you have an imperial or metric leadscrew.
Cheers
Roger
Re: Mitsubishi VMC with Fanuc Series 21M
Thanks
We are using metric ballscrew having pitch of 5mm
Please explain what u meant by Function Config/Screw mapping
Re: Mitsubishi VMC with Fanuc Series 21M
Apologies!
I was assuming you are running Mach3.
Doesn't your Fanuc have 'screw mapping'? I don't know how the Fanuc stuff is calibrated.
Mind you, I would still be looking at the quality of the ball screw and ball nut, and the bearings. 30 microns is a lot of error.
Cheers
Roger
