CNCEST 6040 ALL AXIS LOOSING STEPS

So i just bought this particular machine https://www.ebay.es/itm/293746046167 . It comes with this usb control board https://www.cnczone.com/forums/attac...1&d=1601000092

Also the stepper drivers are TX14207 https://www.picclickimg.com/d/l400/p...-3040-6040.jpg


I can comunícate with the computer throw the usb and mach3 to the machine. The problem is that the machine is missing steps on every single axis so it maked impossible to make any work...

Things that i already check:
Tighten the Z axis.
Slowing down speed and velocity
Calibrate the axis throw mach3.
Different computer with different Windows (w7 32bits and w10 x64).

I dont know what more can i do... Im so lost and this consume 4 full days of trials trying to figure the problem...

As i said all axis can mové also the spindle but for some reason they are loosing steps.

Machine is cncest 6040 ????

What voltage is going to the steppers?They may need more than they are getting.

Hello routalot. Actually here i have not a multimeter to check this but as far as i know. The voltage must be governed by the bsmce04u board right? So it must be ok? I will try to catch a multimeter to check it out. And let you know.

Ok i got a multimeter and i did the measurements. all the stepper drivers are getting 23.9v and 1.151A from the powersupply. The motors wich i have are the nema 57 two-phase 3A 150N.cm

Any clue? Anybody? :(

You could try setting the steppers drivers to give higher amps. Something closer to 3amps that the motors are rated at.
Alternately replace the stepper drivers with better quality units. There are plenty of options out there.

I also have the loosing step problem. I found out that it can do it in mid air.
It is not a mechanical problem or stepper driver problem.

It is a USB and noice problem.

If you start "air" engraving and power lights on/off several times or start/stop your water cooler, aircompressor or vacuum cleaner, just try to make some electrical noice, you will hear the CNC skip steps at some point.
You will also see MACH3 stop sending gcode for a while when it happen.

I solved the problem using a small 3 port USB hub between the controller and my PC. I guess it isolated noice in the USB cable.
