Hypro 2000 hypertherm plasma torch

Hello could anyone offer me any advise im stuck i have a HT2000 hypertherm with a Hypro 2000 torch upgrade the problem i have is the torch pierces the plate begins to cut then the torch drives down in to the plate a causing a collision error ive checked all the connections i really am lost the torch is on a combi rex CDX-P 3500 is it possible the machine needs a setting changing i appreciate any help at all
