Power supply max current rating
I can't figure out the max current rating for power supply when I use 4 stepper motors linked below.
What would be max current rating for 1 motor?
What would be the max current rating for 4 motors?

Thank you all.????
Re: Power supply max current rating
The specification on that link says 4.2 amps per motor. 4 motors would be 16.8A
Then multiply that by 2/3 = 11.2A total.
A power supply like this should be ideal.

Thank you Peter. That's really great. Now I understand what to do. Thanks
Re: Power supply max current rating
I'm not too convinced about running those nema 34 motors with as much as 4.4mh inductance on only a 48v supply. Want 60v at least.
There's a reason the supplied drivers are capable of upto 100vdc.
Look at AC toroidal supplies too (around 60Vac) as the drives can also take upto 70Vac direct.
Or these type supplies can be rectified to supply DC.
I've never done one (yet) but there is plenty of information on this out there.
A quick example:

AT have pre built ones too. This is a 72Vdc:12A.

@dazp1976
I will look for some toroidal supplies. Thanks. The current rating I would be looking for would still be 11.2A right?
