I do not know what happened to Benchtop Precision. I have sent 4 emails - wanted to buy the parts for G0704 belt drive conversion. There was no answer at all for months. G0704 parts simply disappeared from the web site.

They're both unavailable atm because apparently there's some manufacturing restrictions been put in place over there (go figure) but are in production and will be 2 months wait apparently.

Price seems a bit obscene to me for some ally bits and a belt. That's like 1/4 the price of a new complete machine.
I've just paid deposit on my u.k. equivalent AMAT25LV mill, belted as standard with BLDC motor @£1200.
2 speed of 0-1500 & 0-2800rpm.
If I need more top end I can have the stock pulley turned down a fraction.

So, have a guess at how long it takes Benchtop Precision to make a conversion kit. Then divide the price by the hours needed to make the kit.
It will be a low hourly rate. It’s probably the reason that they are no longer making them.
It always amazes me that some people expect high quality , low volume products for low quality, high volume prices.

It looks like they build to order -they take pre-orders and when they get enough they do a production run. It looks like it takes 4-8 ARO weeks before they ship.

It is exactly the same kit - don't know the details, but Minipro apparently acquired the manufacturing rights to it. If you scroll down the product page and download the installation manual, it's actually the original Benchtop Precision manual....Quote:

On closer inspection , and because you called me on it, i See that they might actually be photos of the real items. If so - nice job! Nonetheless, at a glance they look like renders to me and that always makes me wonder if the seller actually has product to sell. If those *are* photos, maybe you could link to larger images that might make it more obvious that they are real parts.
Those dyno's are cool as hell. RC tuning is on a crazy level. 20 years ago I had a bunch of nitro trucks and spent a lot of time building shocks and tuning the chassis and was able to do so to gain great advantages. I imagine the electric world is an entirely different beast.

FYI, it is a PM-25, there is no PM-20.
Benchtop Precision, like a lot of very small companies, had a very nice quality product, but also had a very difficult time filling orders. I think I waited 3 months for my G0704 conversion kit, but when it arrived, it was superb.
I think the one big difference between this kit and others is that it includes a replacement for the spindle drive shaft, you know, the shaft at the top that has the gears on it. BP's replacement shaft extends the shaft upwards out of the top of the head so that it is easy to mount the pulley and the RPM sensor ring on it. This is why I bought this kit. I have seen no other kits that have this part. If I was building my own, that is just how I would do it.
Anyhow, it looks like they sold out to another manufacturer, so hopefully that has solved their supply chain problem. Also, I hope that it was a good deal for them because they had a great idea/product.
The kit was originally for the TM20VL. The TM25VL and PM-25 was the next iteration of the mill. They both come from the same factory. My early one has gears in the head. The TM-25VL came with a belt drive. I sold the last of the Benchtop conversation kits last week.Quote:
