ROMER Portable Measuring Arm

Hi everyone.
I am looking for the Camera Dongle for ROMER Portable Measuring Arm, Model 5024, or any other information and/or software for this unit. I have contacted the manufacturer, but this unit is obsolete so no more parts are available. I could download the setup and calibration software with user manual from their site(that was very nice from them). Is there some one who knows something about the camera dongle? What is the purpose of this DONGLE? Maybe It is possible to DIY?
