Limit Switch in DSP0501 - Can I use a simple NO switch as limit switch
I am converting an old Berco Surface grinder / milling machine to CNC using DSP 0501 and Gecko 201. I need to and I like to have limit switches on the 2 axis but I see the wiring diagram in the manual shows NPN limit switches.
Is it possible to use NO or NC mechanical switches for this?
I have attached the relevant page of the manual
TIA
Tom

Yes, absolutely. NPN NO switch can be directly replaced with a mechanical NO switch. Connect the switch to the BLUE and the BLACK wire.
P. S. Why not use proper inductive switches? They are fun to work with, they have built-in indicator lights for troubleshooting, and they cost peanuts nowadays.

Thanks vm. Well I will be but I have none yet, just order them but I thought in the mean time I can try the mechanical ones which I have e few.
