Exclamation random servo fault multicam 3000

Hello, I'm running an older used multicam 3000 machine and am having trouble with a persistent random servo fault. Its usually on the Xa but sometimes on the y axis servo drive. It gives me a blink count of 3. these faults happen randomly sometimes every couple of minutes to every couple of days. It can be during a cut or just when its sitting idle. there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. has anyone experienced anything like this? what should i do? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When I last had a problem like that, it turned out to be dust on the optical encoder wheel. Have you checked yours lately?

Blink count 3 is a overcurrent issue.

Try this after you hard home the machine , hit your estop and see if the machine x axis kicks. If so then you need to do a gantry alignment.

If it doesn't then something could be dragging either bearing cars are blown out, gearbox issue.
