Replacing an Ermak Hyd Press.. Seeking our thoughts on a machine

Hello, We would value input on replacing our Ermak hyd press. We would like to transition to a 48" machine (versus our current 36"), be able to maintain use of our metric punches & standard dies and also increase our capabilities if at all possible. The thoughts within our team are to find a machine on the used market. ANY input/direction would be greatly appreciated.

What we have now is a Ermak AP 1270-35. This unit is old enough that it has not been supported years. Like is said earlier, we would like to bump up in size a touch and capabilities if at all possible... first and foremost reliability. This current unit will randomly throw bends that are way over or under tolerances. We would like to go American made if at all possible, looking to see if anyone has thoughts/experience on a machine that would be a step up from this present machine.

Hi there,I came across your post while browsing the forum. We're in the electrical manufacturing space too, and I’ve seen a few teams switch from traditional Ermak-style hydraulic presses to more compact solutions — especially when working with copper or aluminum busbars.Depending on what kind of work you’re doing (bending, punching, cutting), a 3 in 1 busbar machine might be worth looking into. Not saying it’s the perfect fit for every setup, but it can save a lot of time and space if your workflow allows for it.Happy to share some firsthand experience if that’s helpful.
