I made Hossmans simple L belt version that just bores out a stock L timing pulley to fit the spindle like here but went with a 1:1 ratio to get about 5000 rpm. I did the bearing upgrade too.

alright but the 2010 reference doesn't make sense then, i can't give you that data as mine is still together as well.

is yours a 2010 model? what are your measurements as they can vary a little from machine to machine as the chinese aren't real careful about hole placement. i think they go by eye with handtools.:)...

you should look at what's popular on this forum now, the g0704. it's a great machine for the money. there are many g0704 threads here but be sure to check out hossmans website and humongous thread...

there is only one macro for the toolchanger in mach, i'm no expert like hoss but he makes it easy by providing one for his winerack atc here. Projects 7 from what i understand it controls everything...

I have hoss plans for his super sweet atc for the g0704 that is a carousel mounted on the table, Projects2 takes up minimal space and can go up to 10 tools, 16 if you go with a full rack as i recall....

i thought i was taking my time.;) have you tried calling automation technologies? he's seemed very reliable and responsive. think you might want to have an electrician check out your house wiring too.

do you have a grizzly g0704? if not there a some differences in the various bf20 types so you have to expect some compensation.

what are you talking about, the runout on my g0704 spindle is only about .0006, stock, i think you have a decimal point off.

I don't think he actually did a video of that but there is a text file in the new direct drive z axis folder in the phase 1 folder. he explains how to do it there. hope that helps.
