machine designed to be upgrade-able - linear bearings and rack are on a detachable steel beam which can be adjusted or removed and installed on a larger/stiffer structure in the future.

how accurate is the setup with two x screws and a belt drive?

me and my build partner are having similar thoughts and deliberations about our cnc build.
we used a welded steel table as a frame, the rails and r&p will be mounted on...
oops. first time. uploaded again. you can see the table is pretty sturdy but I'm looking at other tables too.
and yes, it's an optical stage. but the diameter of the lead screw is about 9mm.
I want to make a large routing table for wood and plastics.
design inspired by MechMate and such- elevated "walls" fully support the X rails.
for the X axis I will use 2X 176cm INA linear...
