hmm... I don't see any fans at all on the spindle motor its self (mori seiki al-2)... just a huge motor connected to the transmission.

Where can I find these fuses? I have video of the machine...

By "motor fan" do you mean the fan on the side of the machine closest to the spindle motor? If yes, then that fan is spinning in the correct direction (exhaust).

I have not checked anything else...

After some looking I noticed that on the board in the cabinet I am getting AL-01. The best that I have been able to find online is motor overheat... that can't be right?

I have a Mori Seiki AL2, which I have just connected. I'm not at all familiar with this control and I do not have the manual for the machine.

I don't appear to have any alarms, but I get the ER2...

The rotary converter makes note not to connect the manufactured leg to the control phase of the machine. Any idea which terminal runs the controls on the AL2?

Titanium valves can not be lapped as that will remove the dlc pvd coating that will be applied. Without this coating the valve life is very short.

Valve seats are often cut instead of ground these days, so I suppose I am asking why the valve surface could not be cut also?

No. I am not making valves for one engine... I am doing batches of 100 valves.

I can do them "dead nuts" using the same valve grinder he would use... I'm just trying to see if I can avoid that...
