The serial control cable was frayed and caused the fault. It also burnt out the FSSB.
Thanks. Please PM.
I don't have a spare FSSB. Ill see what I can find.
Yes, that is the configuration.
Yes. I switched cables with another unit. Still y axis 447 alarm.
Im wondering if it is a port issue in the FSSB and I can switch ports.
Yes, It has that device. It is called the FSSB. It is a fiber optic serial interface device between the controller and drives. There is what looks like a master and a slave. Only the 3 axises are...
Encoder and motor are good. Drive is good. I can jog it all day long using a computer interface.
I talked to Fanuc today and they say that the code is supposed to relate to a "Extra" positioning...
No. Not that I know of. Like I said. There is the encoder that is hard wired to the amp. The amp then transfers the encoder signal to the FSSB. The fssb sends it to the controller.
The encoder...
I have the same panels. Sometimes they get moisture inside of them between the 2 pieces of plastic and either don't work at all or stick on.
You have to take apart the panel and clean them out. It...
Yes. Perhaps I should remove the connector shells and check them out visually.
No. No other encoder per axis. Only the one on the motor.
I had the same error 4 years ago and it ended up being a broken cable under the mill.
So this time I switched a known good motor/encoder...
You shouldn't use the work offset for this. You should use the work offset for different vices or blocks. If you are working on the same piece you should use G52. Its much eaisier and flexible. You...
Its not hard to do. If it is just circles or oblongs it is a basic pocketing program with subprograms and a axis rotation. Probably less than 100 lines of code.
Encoder signals are directly connected to amp then control cable goes from amp to FSSB (high speed serial connection) then to controller thru fiber optics.
Encoder is incremental type on shaft of motor.

No one have any Ideas?
I do a lot of thread milling.Once you use it you cant go back.
Typical program.

N3 M8

N5 G54

I have a problem with a servo error. I have yaskawa SDGB servos in a 3 axis mill. 21i-MA controller. The controller is giving me an error message of 447 which as far as I can tell means a broken...
You have been working on that one for a long time now..
I have a 21i with bridgeport macros. Should work. PM me.
I have a Yaskawa 626VM3C CIMR-VMC25P5 that shows code F-602 from time to time. The manual says this happens when voltage falls below 210vdc. Is the VDC a typo? Also the drive is supposed to be rated...
Of course there is a reset on the operators panel. But that's not it.
I think it is the new cable. I switched cables to another servo and the alarm went out. So either cable or encoder......
I just got a mill with a Fanuc 21i-ma controller. I tested it before shipping and all was fine. The riggers ripped out the b servo cable and I replaced it. It now shows a blinking EMG light with no...
Im looking for a good deal on a Romi/Bridgeport ezpath.
Control dosent need to work.
If you know of one, please let me know.
Any peticular rifle? :D
It looks like you have a 2d drawing but your view cube is on. Its possible that your USC is canted on a plane slightly. AutoCAD wont snap to planer objects that aren't on a plane. Select Object USC...
If it started out as a 3d object, it is possible that the entities are on different z elevations. Even off .0001 will not allow for selection. Was the spline exploded? Sometimes I end up with...
In AutoCAD, If you want a 2d drawing of what you are viewing, you use FLATSHOT. If you want a 2d drawing of the interior of a 3d object, you use SECTION
Like I said. Good luck. :D The learning curve is steep and expensive. Especially on production parts. I have yet to see a CAM program that does what you want. They do what THEY want.
That's what they make in Valencia. Usually the lower amount. Its a really expensive place to live and almost any job you get pays very little. But there are plenty of people who need the job. I used...
Good luck. If you are producing parts, Id advise you to get someone to program for you. It seems that you know little about this. Programming involves much more than access to a CAM program. You will...
I can do it for you. E-mail sent.
I bought mine new and it came with a Operators manual and a "Instalation Maintenance and parts breakdown" manual.
