Given the choice of buying knobs for a couple $$ each or spending 1/2 a day making my own, I opted for the latter. The knobs are made up of 2 pieces pulled together with a nut and bolt. The curved...
Speaking of presents, I built this for my wife's birthday. I did not have a jigsaw to cut the curve on the top rail, so I used CamBam and my Joe's 4x4.
Over a period of a month or 2, I built a Joe's 4X4 Hybrid. All of the g-code was generated using CamBam.
I think it is time we had a thread for displaying Stuff made with CamBam. There are a lot of options out there for g-code generation, but in terms of bang for buck (for me at least) CamBam is the...
Thank you for the comments and for the inspiration.
The parts are just held together by friction.
A big THANK YOU to Shannon for posting the original files.
It had to happen.... I have been very lax with my cable management. In my own carefree way, I had been "making do" with hanging the...
I bought the same one
You stick to your guns John. I was ragged mercilessly for my choice of colour for my Joes 4x4, but eventually people come around....
Uh-Oh :D
Congratulations Caravaggio!
G-Nome as in genome :the complete set of genetic material of an organism, the basic building blocks as it were (not to be confused with gnome)
Not at all. I mean FLIP it end for end, not rotate it. Essentially using the same cut but from the other side of the material. Admittedly it will only work if any holes are through holes, and there...
Assuming you are just cutting out the shape (and no carving in the middle), I would add an alignment strip along the short axis also. Cut the 1st half and then simply flip the material end for end...
 It appears you missed the point of the post.
I was merely trying to indicate which parts are 3/4 hdpe and the fact they will fit on a 24x24 sheet
This post http://www.cnczone.com/forums/showpost.php?p=370553&postcount=1527 has a pic of 2 sets of the 3/4" hdpe parts laid out (and cut) on what appears to be a 24" x 48" sheet.
The pitch and diameter of the pulleys are the same, but the aluminium pulley from Hubbard has a hub, (with 2 set screws),whereas the one from sdp-si does not (the 2 set screws are within the...
I ran in to the same problem and got them from Hubbard CNC.
http://stores.ebay.com/HUBBARD-CNC-COMPONENTS Same specs, similar price and very fast shipping. Worth a look.
Aluminium pulley...
Hi all, I have been a long time browser here, about to dive head first into a cnc router project.
Regarding the suggested transformer to power the hcncpro board, (Hammond, I believe), can anyone...
