No sense asking based on the controller board. the 840D was used in a ton of entirely different machines. That is what the Trumpf Laser I formerly programmed used.

I am talking about 1 alloy here, not 2. I wouldn't think you'd want to router any but the softest and easiest to machine metals. Aluminum-bronze would not qualify.

Its a 3kw CO2 laser. Like I said 3/8" Aluminum would be near its limit, but since I'd be just cutting it into strips, I wouldn't have to worry about a pierce.
