On the current version (2.8.1), go to the Settings tab and then choose the 4th Axis Rotary sub-tab in the upper left.

    Re: PathPilot X axis glitch

Which 1100 model do you have selected? The exact name will be shown to the right of the path pilot logo near the Exit button on screen.

On the Settings tab, do you have Enclosure Door Switch...

    Re: PP 2.7.3

If you're there, pop the lid on the ATC cabinet after pushing in the e-stop button. After unscrewing the e-stop, watch the control board carefully as someone else pushes in the power button. Do you...

    Re: PP 2.7.3

The log reveals the firmware update completed successfully and is operating as expected.

There's some later general ATC USB communication errors during a program run, but none of that was changed...

    Re: PP 2.7.3

Well, it hasn't yet been done because I don't see the zip file to analyze it.... Opening a support ticket is a slightly different indirect path and I can't see that until much later tomorrow.

    If...

    Re: PP 2.7.3

Just minimize anything USB plugged in during the update - including removing the wifi dongle, shuttle, any usb hubs, etc. Keyboard, mouse, and ATC is all you need for this part. Try that, then boot...

    Re: PP 2.7.3

The ATC firmware update process is dependent on usb to the control board in ways beyond normal operation. The only usb devices absolutely necessary during the firmware update are the ATC, a mouse,...
  12. Re: Tormach 440 PathPilot Start Up...not going so well

There is a maximum spindle rpm with the door open setting. Perhaps you are getting snagged by that?
The 440 is pre-wired for a door switch so you won't see a checkbox on the Settings tab for it,...

Re: MX rapids with latest PP update

Jogging speeds are reduced a bit to try to avoid crashes at full rapids speed. If you want to verify full speed, run a program with G0 or hold down the shift key and then jog.
  14. Re: Finding the ini file to edit soft limits (tormach 770 S3)

ADMIN SET_Y_LIMIT is a better route if your ball screw is long enough. MDI auto-completion should show you all of that. Or ADMIN HELP does also.

    Re: Fixing MDI

    I just created a 'scratch.nc' file instead.

Whenever I need to whip out a dozen or more gcode lines, the file MRU combo box flips me over to scratch.nc. Then a quick Alt-E brings up gedit on it...

    Re: PathPilot Hub

It basically eliminates the need to mess around with VirtualBox or other virtualizing solutions and trying to keep all that updated. Using a browser to https://hub.pathpilot.com is so much easier.

  19. Re: About 20 Months Later - Would I Buy Another One? - PCNC1100

You don't lose your tool table or work offsets or anything else when you upgrade PathPilot versions. It's all saved and restored properly. Even if you move from PP 1.x to 2.x which involves a quick...
  20. Re: Anybody know what "PathPilot Controller - Next Generation" means?

Pretty sure the name just reflects the much smaller form factor with the elimination of the Mesa PCI or PCIe card and the move to ethernet connected machine control vs. the large DB25, difficult to...
  21. Re: About 20 Months Later - Would I Buy Another One? - PCNC1100

All of these work fine in PathPilot for the last 6 months at least. Upgrade (free) to 2.3.6 or later and you'll enjoy them also. The current work offset is shown right above the axis DROs for me....

The (LOG) stuff was fixed relatively recently (PP 2.1+). It always worked, but the resulting file used to end up in a very awkward location. It now is put in the gcode folder as you'd expect. And...

Re: PathPilot and NO run from here function

Re: PathPilot and NO run from here function

Please clarify the distinction in your mind between "run from here" and "set start line"

Re: PathPilot and NO run from here function

'Set Start Line' is the actual name of the context menu item.

And newer versions of PathPilot even have that available in a 'hamburger menu' in the upper right which is touch screen friendly...
